Virgo New Moon ~ Solar Eclipse at 29°

Virgo New Moon at 29° ◇ Solar Eclipse

21st / 22nd September depending on what part of the world you are in ✨️

A 2nd Virgo New Moon! But this one is hitting different. The first one felt like we had just stepped into a classroom, it had some purity and innocence to it. This one is unfolding while deep in eclipse season and at 29°. It symbolises final lessons or culmination of all the Virgo-ness we have been navigating in recent times, both the shadow and the light.

It does not really feel like an intention setting New Moon, due to the nature of the degree, but I believe that through release, intentions can still be set. We probably have sparks of clarity right now, or at least they may come through suddenly or soon.

The Virgo archetype speaks to wellness, healing, the body, productivity and refining all the things. I hope that this New Moon brings clarity around our own unique healing and wellness journeys, maybe even slowly and softly closing ones that have been lingering for too long. Healing is possible through understanding and purifying the things that make us unwell (mind, body and spirit).

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, so maybe lots of mind stuff has been coming up, nitpicking, overanalysing, overthinking, chaos. I know this to be true with Virgo energy ruling my 3rd house! Thought dumping, journaling or sifting through the mental clutter can be therapeutic, even if that means cleaning out your 33,000 emails (hello, it is me!).

I have had a lot of conversations with people recently who have been quite unwell or not themselves during this eclipse season. Maybe this is the cleanse that is needed to bring awareness to the murk that no longer feels good in the body 🤎

Swipe on down to get insights for your rising sign (or the house that 29° of Virgo sits in), energy updates and prompts to caress that curious mind of yours.

Take care out there!

The Energy of the Virgo New Moon

This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo sits at 29°. We have two Virgo New Moons this year… the first was at 0°, which felt like stepping into the classroom for the very first time, kind of like an initiation. This one sits at 29°, the final degree ….we’ve absorbed some lessons and now understand the energy we are working with. It’s screaming for some potent personal soul growth. It’s time to use the Virgoan clarity to release what no longer serves, to purge and clear space for our true intentions to be set from a place of love and compassion.

This New Moon feels like beginnings coloured with endings. A chapter is closing while a new one is already being written. The energy feels like a cleanse, a purge, and a reset… to then usher in a blank canvas. This eclipse urges a final push toward healing old wounds, integrating mind, body, and spirit, and refining the patterns and habits that build our daily lives. The themes present are all about wellness, service, refinement, and the courage to let go of perfectionism, burnout, and holding on. I hope that this New Moon brings deeper awareness or clarity around our own individual wellness or healing journeys… perhaps slowly and softly closing ones that have been a long term battle. Healing is possible through clarity and the purge.

The Sun and Moon at 29° sit opposite Saturn, retrograde at 28° Pisces. Saturn, the father of the sky, reminds us of responsibility, the wisdom and lessons we get from experiences and the solid structures that support slow and steady growth. At the same time, Saturn can illuminate the fears that hold us back… showing the old patterns we have outgrown and where stronger foundations are needed. This opposition creates a push-pull between Virgo’s craving for order, productivity, and service, and Pisces call for surrender, trust, and release. Saturn asks… where are you allowing fear to shape your emotional world or vitality? What spiritual, health, or service-related responsibilities have you been avoiding? Retrograde planets always speaks to a second chance, an opportunity to review… Virgo is a smart cookie and will help refine and find a practical resolution. Saturn’s opposition speaks to a reality check, but only to encourage fresh foundations, new rituals, and structures to be built from an integral place.

The ruler of this New Moon, Mercury, sits in Libra, forming a loose but harmonious Grand Trine with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius at 1°. Insights may come suddenly, conversations may shift relationship dynamics, and powerful collective truths may surface in ways that feel both supportive and transformative. Saturn’s influence may feel a little raw or eye-opening, but this trine helps us communicate what is ready to be released and what is waiting to be born. At the end of the day Virgo reminds us that healing begins within us as individuals… and through tending to our own healing in the day-to-day, those shifts ripple outward, shaping the collective which Pluto in Aquarius calls for right now.

This Solar Eclipse in Virgo reminds us that “endings” are required for solid beginnings. What is released now creates healthy soil for what comes next. In true Virgo Vibes, the work required to be done right now is all in the choices, mindful habits, and acts of healing that build up into real transformation. Trust the process and know that in clearing space, you are opening the way for something more aligned, intentional, and true to grow.
